David Fliss began drawing caricatures in 1986. Faces are fascinating and need to be interpreted on paper in ways that bear resemblance without details. Such a challenge worthy of exploring. Dave wants to have fun pushing the limits of caricature, not portraiture!
Dave will capture a marker likeness in a couple minutes. If you want a perfect picture take a photograph but when it's a party, let go and have fun with your personal piece of Fliss Art.
Dave is a mobile Caricaturist because people have more fun at events when they're not standing in line waiting for a caricature. The subject isn't required to maintain full attention during the drawing.
Dave has gotten in touch with his Fine Arts past and is creating haunting charcoal drawings from old family photos. It's not your base, family portrait, it's eccentric and perhaps deeper that what it seems. Some of these drawings are part of the slide show. He'd be happy to create a 14"x18" interpretive image for you.
